My next trip will start with flying to San Francisco from Sydney, with a stopover in Changi Airport, Singapore. Leaving from Oakland, over the eastern side of the bay from San Francisco, the AMTRAK ‘California Zephyr’ heads up into the Rocky Mountains and on to Chicago. I’ll be visiting Salt Lake City on the way to Denver, from which the train passes through Omaha, Nebraska and Ottumwa, Ohio, amongst others before terminating at Union station Chicago.
From Chicago I’ll be on ‘The Lake Shore Express’ through to Boston. A good look at Boston and the ‘The Acela Express’ down to New York. I hope you’ll join me in exploring, (Drum roll) ‘AMTRAK’s America!’ …..
